Jason Jitoboh DONE for the season due to eye surgery!

Jason Jitoboh DONE for the season due to eye surgery! Injuries have been at a high for the Florida Gators, so for their backup center to be done for the season is a bummer. That is exactly what this team did not need.

The 12–8 Gators had Jason Jitoboh step in after their starting center, Colin Castleton, went down with a shoulder injury. It also has to be noted that they do not have a center that can play in the post like those two; now, Florida will have to adjust to something new until injuries clear up.

How bad was the injury and what led up to the surgery?

The eye injury came when Jitoboh took a nasty finger to the eye during the first half of Wednesday’s game against Tennessee. Even their head coach, Mike White, wasn’t shying away from the severity.

“There’s one or more issues that have been brought to my attention,” he said. “It’s significant. You wouldn’t want it for anybody. He’s a wonderful young man. It’s just a really tough scenario for him.”

When it is that serious and it forces that player out of the season; that is bad and you would never want to see that. Hopefully he make a full recovery for next season.

The Gators will have to battle on as they are tenth in their conference; that conference? Southeastern. Gators have a two game losing streak and hope to snap it come today at 2:00 PM.
